Our Activity Co-ordinator organises a wide range of pursuits and outings for the residents. Please visit Activities Page for detailed information.
A variety of events and activities take place throughout the week. The activity schedule is displayed on the notice board and individual sheets are given to residents on request.
Family and friends are always invited to join us in celebrating events such as Easter, Summer Fair, Bonfire Night and Christmas, as well as any activities taking place during the week. We help residents celebrating special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries.

Even though we have service times for the meals, residents are always catered for outside these hours and snacks and refreshments are available at all times.
We cater for all special dietary needs and always use fresh meat from the local butchers, fruit and vegetables from the local farm shop and fish from the fishmongers.
All cakes and desserts are homemade and all foods are freshly prepared on the premises. Chef will also cater for any requests made. Our kitchen has the top food hygiene rating of 5 stars.
Each day residents have a choice between cooked and continental breakfast. We always offer alternative and vegetarian choices on the menu. An early morning hot drink is available to residents upon request.
Our catering staff meet dietary requirements such as diabetes, intolerances, allergies and religious requirements. Please feel free to contact the home manager regarding any requirements, we will endeavour to do all we can to help.
Tracy our hair dresser is available throughout the week.
Littlebourne House complies with all safety requirements, including smoke detectors, thermostatic water coolers and protective radiator covers. All the main doors and gates are fixed with coded door locks for security.
There is a Nurse-call system fitted in all the bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas, to ensure 24 hr confidence and reassurance. We are fully compliant with our hoisting and lifting equipment. We also provide profiling beds and airflow mattresses when needed. All equipment is serviced regularly and replaced when necessary.
Residents' capabilities and risks are assessed to ensure safety of care delivered
We have an excellent rapport with our G.P. and District nurses who visit on a daily basis if necessary.
The local GP visits the home every Monday to see the residents who have difficulties going to the surgery.
The Holy Communion service will be held monthly 11.00 a.m. for any resident to attend. For Catholic residents, a priest visits the care home and provides individual service.
St. Vincent's Church at Littlebourne is just around the corner if anyone would like to attend the Sunday Service.
Chiropodist visits every 6 weeks, Mobile Dentist visits every 2 months. The Optician, audiologist and reflexologist can be obtained upon request. Please contact the Home Manager or the Administration Manager for further details. We employ independent OTs to assess each residents' mobility needs and risks, and advice on which equipment or aid is suitable to promote independence.
Reminiscence Therapy is provided by the Activities co-ordinator. We have Millie and Welly, 2 Labrador dogs visit our Home regularly for residents who miss their pets or enjoy company of animals.
